Car is Focus Zetec Tdci (110) 1.6L Diesel - 2005 (can't remember if it's 05 or 55) This morning as I left for work, my Focus displayed 'Engine Systems Fault' with the red LED intermittently but fairly frequently during 5 minutes - I drove home and borrowed my partner's car for the commute.

Engine management light doesn't often come on on these though, just the malfunction warning for the usual issues (DPF/EGR/plugs/filter) so I'll be interested to see what codes it has triggered. It's also worth noting the DPF fluid counter needs to be reset after filling the additive so if it's the same guy doing it, he'll need to find the lead
1 post · Joined 2021. #13 · Feb 26, 2021. Ive driven my 2007 Ford Focus sport for over a year and the issue began a few months ago. It’s a 1.6 Sport variation with auto transmission. The car randomly says 'transmission malfunction' and ‘engine systems failure' whilst driving and the rev and speed gauges sit at zero.
